You can now easily manage your saved payment methods, also known as payment tokens, directly from the Paystand Dashboard. This feature gives you more control over how your card information and bank account details are stored and used.
Manage Saved Payment Methods
From the Customer tab in the Paystand Dashboard, you can:
- Edit a saved payment method
- Update an expired credit card
- Change a billing address or account details
- Archive a saved payment method
- Remove it from future use (it won’t appear as a payment option in the Virtual Terminal)
Automatic Sync with NetSuite
All changes are automatically synced to your NetSuite instance, keeping your token records up to date.
Archiving funds
When you archive a payment method:
- It will no longer appear as a payment option in the Virtual Terminal.
- Autopay may still attempt to use this method.
- Currently, archiving a payment method does not immediately stop scheduled autopay attempts tied to it.
- If autopay tries to charge an archived payment method, the charge will fail.
- In NetSuite, the Autopay Status will update to Failed with the reason: Payment failed due to archived payment token.
- Currently, archiving a payment method does not immediately stop scheduled autopay attempts tied to it.
We recommend updating your autopay configurations or notifying your internal team when archiving a payment method to avoid failed transactions.
