The card was declined for an unknown reason.
The Do Not Honor message indicates that the payer card’s issuing bank will not allow a transaction to take place so the card has been rejected.
The main causes that this message occurs are outlined below:
- Insufficient Funds
- Credential Discrepancy (between AVS and CVC)
- Potential Fraud
If a payer has made several payments, the issuing bank may have detected high-risk websites that also trigger the Do Not Honor message by the time they attempt to make another payment or purchase.
The payer must contact their card issuer for additional information. Paystand is unable to determine the cause of the Do Not Honor message on behalf of the payer.
