The Paystand Magento 2 integration supports two checkout experiences depending on whether your payer is logged into their store account or checking out as a guest. Each flow offers a slightly different set of features.
Guest Checkout (No Login Required)
When a payer checks out as a guest, Paystand will open a secure payment window (modal) with the available payment options you’ve set up in your Paystand account (e.g., bank transfer, card, ACH).
Key Points for Merchants:
Payers must enter their payment information each time they make a purchase.
Payment methods are not saved for future use.
Best suited for first-time buyers or one-time transactions.
Simple, fast checkout — but no stored payment options.
Payer Experience:
Customer selects Checkout without logging in.
Paystand window opens with your preset payment options.
Payers enters payment details and completes the purchase.
Logged-In Checkout (Returning Payers)
When a payer is logged into their Magento account, Paystand can recognize them and offer a more personalized checkout experience.

Payers can use previously saved payment methods.
Payers can add new payment methods and save them for future use.
