You can now include a Project ID when processing an AR Advance in the Paystand Dashboard. This enhancement allows you to tag advance payments with a specific project, supporting better tracking and reporting in your Sage Intacct integration.
Prerequisites
Must have the AR Advance feature enabled. Contact your CSM to confirm if this functionality is included in your account.
Project ID functionality must be enabled in your PS Dashboard
Paystand Web Services User role must have Projects permissions configured in Sage Intacct
Important considerations
- Project ID is optional, but highly recommended if your Sage Intacct uses project-based tracking
- Only one Project ID can be assigned per AR Advance transaction
- Once submitted, the Project ID cannot be changed in Paystand
Enabling Project ID for AR Advances
1. To enable the AR Advance with Project ID feature, go to the Settings section

2. Click GENERAL

3. Activate the toggle for AR Advance Project Assignment
Processing AR Advance with a saved payment token
1. To create an AR Advance with a Project ID, go to the Customers tab

2. Select the Customer

3. Click AR Advance

4. Below the total amount field, you’ll see a Project ID dropdown. This menu displays all active projects associated with the selected customer

5. Select the project you want to associate with the AR Advance

6. Select the saved payment token for the customer

7. Click Pay

8. Click Pay Now to confirm

Requesting an AR Advance with a Project ID
1. Click Request Payment

2. Select the project you want to associate with the AR Advance

3. Click Send Request

Applying AR Advance with Project ID
1. The AR Advance will be reflected in the Advances section within Sage Intacct.

2. The Project ID will be included in the payment memo field

What to Expect
Once processed, the AR Advance and associated Project ID will sync with Sage Intacct, ensuring proper allocation and visibility in your financial reports.
Enable Projects permissions for Paystand Web Services in Sage Intacct
- Navigate to:
Company → Admin tab → Users, roles & groups section → Edit Roles - Select the Paystand Web Services role
- Go to Role Subscriptions tab
- Find Projects section
- Enable the following permissions:
- List - Required to retrieve available projects
