When collecting the data for tools such as Autopay, an email is sent to the payer so that they can introduce the payment method information without the involvement of third parties. The payment information is tokenized (substituting a randomly generated identifier for a sensitive piece of data to prevent unauthorized access) before it’s stored in file.
